Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme was introduced in the Centre for Computer Studies in the year 2007. The duration of the programme is 3 years (six semesters)and its academic session begins in the month of July. The programme currently follows the Choice Based Credit System(CBCS) for the Post-Graduate Programmes of Dibrugarh University.

Admission:

Notice inviting application for admission into MCA programme is issued in the last week of April every year in the leading newspapers of Assam and also in this website.

Eligibility criteria for admission: Graduates of Dibrugarh University or any other University recognized by Dibrugarh University under 10+2+3 (TDC) pattern of Degree course in Arts/Science/Commerce with 50% marks in Graduation and passing Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 or in Degree level or a BCA Degree Holder from a reputed institute recognized by Dibrugarh University. Relaxation will be as per Govt. rules. Students appearing in the Bachelors degree final examination whose results have not yet been declared can also apply.

Selection procedure for the programme: Selection for admission into the MCA programme will be based on a Common Admission Test (CAT) which will contain total 100 questions of multiple-choice type on Mathematics(10+2 level), General Aptitude and General English.
